CHEERLEADER!!!! That's right, Camille is cheering! This past Saturday was her first game and she was so excited. She LOVES it and was so in her element! I am so excited to say I met another goal this morning!!!! As you all know I'm running and training for the 1/2 in December and I've been working on building up my miles. Well this morning I am happy to announce that I ran 6 MILES non stop today! I felt so good too! The weather was fantastic and my body felt awesome! I am so excited about continuing on and building up to 10miles! Below is a picture of me from today!

I was looking through some pictures and forgot to post these! Last month(March), we went to our nephew's 1st birthday party in San Antonio, Tx. We had a blast and also got to go to the Riverwalk....which the girls had never been! We tried to go to the zoo(because I heard it was AWESOME since they re-did it) BUT it was Spring break weekend and it was too crowded! Enjoy the pics, we sure had a good time:)

Resurrection Weekend! Thank God for a risen King!

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ! On Friday, the girls went to my parent's house to color eggs! When we got there my sweet dad had everything laid out and set up for the girls to dye and decorate their own eggs. We had fun with that, then we had lunch with Grandmama, Aunt Tami & Auntie.....just girls! Saturday, the girls went back to my parent's to hunt for their eggs! We went to church Saturday night and had a blessed time. Sunday, it was nice to just take our time waking up and I even went to the gym and had a fantastic workout by myself:) Sunday afternoon, we went to our usual hangout(at my parents') with some of our other family, ate some good bbq and sides, with some yummy deserts.....Sock it to me cake, banana pudding and cookies!!! We had a blessed time and I thank God for family.....my family:D

Last week, I finally got my long awaited camera strap in the mail! I was so excited about it, because I am so tired of my neck getting tore up from the strap that comes with my Canon. This strap is so pretty and SO COMFY, it feels like there is nothing on my neck! Shey is AWESOME and she has SO many to choose from! Check her out yall. Easter party at school!

Simone had her Easter party at school today and she was SO EXCITED!!! We made the cutest baskets for each of her classmates and put lots of goodies inside! They had an egg hunt and the weather was so nice because it wasn't blazing hot. She was most happy to wear her dress that we have had for about 3wks, we are LOVING the green/brown combo right now:) Enjoy!!

As most of you know, at the beginning of this new year....January 6th to be exact, I started this new journey of running. I have been training for 3 months now for the 1/2 marathon in December and things are going REALLY good! I am proud to say that I am up to running 5miles at a time and each time I run, it gets easier and easier! I never thought in my life that I would love running! I have been blessed to have the best running partner ever, my own cousin Cheryl! She encouraged me to try it as she completed her first 1/2 this past Dec.09. She told me all about it right after the New Year and I told her I would do it with her this Dec. 2010. I'm very excited & nervous, but I know this will be a huge accomplishment for me. I'm not doing it for anyone or trying to prove anything, just a personal goal that I have set for myself for 2010!

Stephen has been so wonderful and supportive of me! Every mile that I ran, he was my cheerleader, telling me how proud of me he was! We have been on this journey of getting healthier together now for over a year and its been wonderful to have each other to lean on! God is so good and I am so thankful to HIM for each day that we have to live that day pleasing Him:)

My first 5K will be April 24th and I can't wait to get one race under my belt! I know once I do the first, its on from there! Be on the lookout for updates and pictures!!! Run girl run:)

I bought those hangers that you have seen on TV called "Wonder Hangers" MONTHS AGO, and this morning I was looking through my cabinet that holds "misc. stuff" and I came across the box. On Thursday, I had to flat iron Camille's hair to get it prepped for the Father/Daughter dance that was lastnight! I haven't flat ironed her hair since last year sometime and I didn't realize how much it grew! This child has ALOT of hair and its thick! I am loving it alot, but my hands sure do cramp up when I do it, but she is totally worth it. I will not ever cut her hair, but she has already informed me that when she gets older that she is going to cut it up to her jaw bone and dye it blonde!!!!! I told her "NOT while you're living under my roof"!! and she said "That's fine, I'll wait until I have my own home" and I said "You got that right!".......Oh brother, I am so NOT looking forward to the teenage phase, I'm gonna be on my knees every night praying to the Lord Jesus Christ to give me the strength to make it through and I know He will:) Enjoy the pics!

Ok, its that time of the week again! There was SO MUCH going on this weekend, I don't know where to begin, but I DO KNOW we had a blessed time and I am so thankful for my sweet little family!

On Friday it snowed and the girls wanted to go play in it so of course we did. I DID NOT let me children eat the snow off the ground. That would be VERY unsanitary and sick!

I DID NOT let my children eat 3 cupcakes, a popsicle and candy all in a matter of 3hrs!

I DID NOT eat fastfood all weekend long and not go to the gym either! I'm Jane Fonda, who does that?

I DID NOT get infuriated seeing all these teenagers at the movie theater yesterday and told my husband just to forget it and lets go home! Who is that irrational!

For those of you who don't know, on January 6th I started training with my cousin for the half-marathon that we are going to do in December!!!! The first time I ran which was Jan. 6th, I could only run for a short time and maybe do .5mi! Well I am very proud to announce that after 3wks of running, this morning I ran 3 MILES STRAIGHT!!!!! I can't believe the progress I have made in the few weeks! I want to thank my husband who has been VERY supportive of me and my sweet cousin Cheryl for all her help, tips and being by my side. She completed her first half-marathon just this past December and that was very inspiring to me, so I told her I would do it with her this year!

I will be doing my first 5K in March with my cousin and this will be the first of many mini races we do leading up to the half-marathon in Decemeber! I'm expecting by June to do my first 10K(6.2mi). This is very exciting for me and one of the best goals I have set for myself this year! I know with God, ALL things are possible!!! Be on the lookout for updates throughout this process! Yay ME!

Ok, well I FINALLY took Camille's braids down today. It was SO NICE while it lasted which was almost 4wks!!!! It was nice having a break from doing her beautiful thick gorgeous hair, but I knew it was time to take it down:( These were taken a few hours AFTER I took the pics of them with their Zhu Zhu pets in the post below this one! And boy was it FUN washing and brushing this out:) Yay me.....NOT!

Well the girls got all 4 hamsters for Christmas(but they only have 2 of them and the other 2 are up in our closet still in the package), but at the time we couldn't find any of the accessories, but they were just as excited to get their hamsters! This month we have been able to find stuff here and there and today we finished it up when I went to Target and they had the "Fun House" & "Car & Garage" pieces! So Stephen put all the pieces that we bought together and the girls had a field day with it:)

Camille LOVES to dance and is not afraid to do it in front of a crowd and when the opportunity for her to do so came about, we jumped on it! The Wylie Pacesetter drill team had a dance clinic last Saturday(1/16) and all the girls learned a dance to the famous song by Miley Cyrus "Party in the USA"! I have never heard this song because we don't listen to secular music, but it was cute! The girls were told after the clinic that they were going to perform their dance at one of the Varsity Basketball games during half time and Camille was STOKED! Thanks to my friend DeAnna who introduced me to my first ever bow making lesson:) I wanted to share my latest creation with you......a flower! Stephen, the sweet dad he is went to the store and bought everything we needed to make our own homemade pizza. The girls were thrilled!!!! The pizza turned out very good and the girls didn't fight because they each had their own individual pizza! Enjoy!

Simone recently turned 4 and she wanted a room update! She said "Mommy, I want to change my room to big girl colors like Camille"! I said "You're right honey, you're going to be 4 and you're growing up". So that is just what we did:) She picked out her own bedding and wall color. All I need to do is find some wall decor and make some cute tie-backs for her curtain panels! This new room fits her personality to a "T"!!!.....very BRIGHT & VIVACIOUS. Camille has ALWAYS wanted to get her hair braided and I was really hesitant about letting someone else do her hair because she has ALOT of thick BEAUTIFUL CURLY hair and I know how to manage it. Well we found a lady here in Dallas and I just held my breathe and let her do it, to my surprise she did an AWESOME job! Here are the pictures and yes that is ALL her hair, we don't do weaves or horse hair in this house!

I am SO EXCITED about 2010! The Lord blessed us with a wonderful 2009 and I know we will have another wonderful 2010. Our church started a 21 day fast yesterday(Monday) and I am so pumped about it. God is so good and has been blessing my family tremendously. I am speaking health and well ness all year for my family. I am stepping into that next level in my walk with Jesus Christ and I am EXPECTING a change. If you walk with the Lord, there should always be change happening! Praise God for this new year and new day that I open my eyes too every morning. I love you Jesus and I just thank you for your Grace & Mercy everyday on me and my precious family!

Simone will be turning "4" on the 15th of this month and I just can't believe my baby is growing up so fast! I have NO IDEA what we are going to do for her birthday, but we will have something planned soon.......I hope:)hehe Happy New Year to you all and I pray peace, health and prosperity to each and everyone of you!!

Simone started gymnastics a couple of weeks ago and she LOVES it! She goes once a week and every week she looks forward to Thursdays:) This is right up her alley because this girl is STRONG, she loves to flip and roll and pull herself up on everything. Last Thursday, Camille lost her 3rd tooth.....one of the top ones:) She looks so cute and has waited for a long time to lose another tooth. Everytime you see her, she is just smiling and so happy. I just wanted to share a few pictures of her. Its going to be really sad once all her "BIG" teeth are in because that will symbolize she is no longer "little" and is growing up by the minute:( Boohoo!!! Enjoy my princess!!!!

I did it! I have been wanting to make these for the longest time, but never had enough time to sit down and learn. Well I said to myself one day, I'm going to ribbon weave a headband today by any means possible:) These are the only 2 that I have ever done, but I have so many color ideas for future ones that I put on my website. The fun thing about these is you can wear them as they are, or add a matching bow to it. I think they are VERY cute!!! What do you think???

Hi all! Well just wanted to update because my sweet mother in law asked me how I was doing on my weightloss, so I decided to post a few pics from today. I got my measurements done yesterday and since my last measurements in January, I have lost almost 10 INCHES from my body!!!! I was super excited about the progress, but I still have a ways to go. I want to thank you all for your kind words of encouragement, it truly blesses me:) I have gained alot of muscle and I'm starting to see my body change in wonderful ways.

Update on the family:

Camille is doing FANTASTIC in school. She is on a 3rd grade reading level and is so very smart. She loves math and taking spelling tests. We found out that her school will be "looping" their 1st grade teachers, so we were excited to find out that she will have her same teacher as her 2nd grade teacher. We love her teacher, she is a great lady.

Simone is great as always. Full of energy and very eager to learn. We have been going over the letters in the alphabet and she is soaking all this up. She cracks us up everyday......I swear this little girl has the mind of an older lady because some of the stuff she says are things that would come out of a wise woman's mouth!!!! Go figure, I believe Margaret Trapp(her Great-Grandmother on Stephen's side, which she shares the same birthday with) pasted on some her whittyness. Margaret made us laugh and smile all the time. I miss her dearly, but will see her soon one day.

Stephen is doing good himself. He has lost about 25lbs so far and looks fantastic! He is playing alot of basketball and his knees haven't been bothering him too bad. He found some new Kinesio tape for his knees and wraps those before he plays. I am excited to see him back out on the court really enjoying himself, moving around alot better:) Work is good for him, the Lord has blessed him with an awesome job and we just thank Him for it everyday:) God is good.

I have no complaints..........my family is healthy, we have been blessed with a great family on both sides and we woke up this morning! What more can you ask for! God is good:) Til next time........Be blessed!

I forgot to post theses. Last week I took the girls to the park and we had a picnic! It was a beautiful day, couldn't have asked for better weather for our special day:) The girls had a blast and we were out there for over 2hrs......just us girls:) I love them dearly!!!!!

Hi all! I know its been since January that I wrote the last post. Things have been busy and my family was sick a couple of weeks ago! But thank you Jesus everyone is better and we're back on schedule now:) Things are good and we are busy as ever. Camille is doing very well in school and progressing like an ol' pro. Simone is growing like a weed and gets smarter by the minute.........literally! Stephen is doing great and we are so thankful he still has a job. With everyone getting layed off, we just thank Jesus everyday he goes to work!!!

I am doing good, getting more bow orders lately(which is nice, because its fun)! I am still going to the gym 6 days a week and I am 2lbs away from short term goal of 30lbs in 3 months! So, I am posting a picture now because 2lbs less by the end of this week won't make much difference than today:)hehe I LOVE workingout and it has become apart of my morning life. Its also great because Stephen works out too. We are doing this together and he is a great partner!!!! We are NOT dieting because diets don't work. We are just making better eating choices and eating almost the same foods MINUS fastfood. Its nice to still have my ice cream or chocolate, but now I have the discipline to do it in moderation:) I am so excited that I am meeting this goal before this month is even over!!! Well tell me what you think, I love to hear from you:)

Well this has been one interesting week. The girls woke up Sunday morning sneezing, coughing with lots of congestion. Stephen had already been sick from Friday, so I had 3 people to care for. Camille has missed school so far this week, but thankfully she will make it tomorrow. Her teacher gave me the make-up work yesterday and we completed that already, so now its just relaxing and trying to get her to sit still.....NOT! Simone on the other hand has not stopped moving and this sickness has not slowed her down a bit. In fact, her voice is raspy, but she still continues to yell and scream AND she is eating us out of house and home:)

Stephen is back to work today and recovery good! I have not gotten sick and I am so thankful for that. I like it when I can be well to take care of my family because nobody does is like mama:)

I am still working out 6 days a week and seeing wonderful progress. I know I am going to be in the best shape I have ever been in by the end of May and I can't wait. My parent's have a wonderful swimming pool that is calling our names this summer and I plan on buying a nice 1 piece swimsuit to swim with my family!

Well I haven't hit my 30lb loss YET, but I am really close. As of this morning I am 22lbs down since Dec. 1st!!! I have a few pictures to show you and tell me if you can see my progress. I'm trying and I think 22lbs in 1 1/2 months is a pretty good start:)

Today, 3yrs ago I was in the hospital pregnant with Simone. Wow, I can't believe this time is passing by so fast and it makes me sad that its flying by. I went into the hospital on a Saturday night Jan. 14th(full moon) because my water broke at exactly 7:30pm. Things were good no major contractions. Doctor gave me something to help me sleep and around 10pm, Stephen and I got comfortable and watched a little tv before trying to go to bed. Not long after that, my contractions picked up BIG TIME. So to make a long story short. I labored hard from 12am to about 4 something. I dilated from a 3 to 7cm in 10 minutes(the most excruciating pain I had ever felt). And at the last minute, Simone decides to turn face up and was "trying" to come out chin first! She was already stubborn then, trying to do things her way:) So I ended up having to have a csection. Simone was delivered healthy and screaming at 7:53am Sunday morning(Jan. 15th). She has been an absolute blessing to us and we thank God for her everyday. I put together this montage of her 3yrs of life. I hope you enjoy it. It brought lots of tears to my eyes . HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET GIRL! I You!!!!!

Well this morning I stepped on the scale and since Dec. 1st to this morning I have lost 20lbs!!!! Stephen and I wanted to start before the New Year because we didn't want this to be a temporary thing, its a complete lifestyle change. We are going to the gym and having fun cooking together!

2009 is going to be a year of wonderful changes and new things for the Moody family. I am excited about getting healthy and adding years to my life besides taking years away! God is good and as soon as I hit my 30lb loss, I will post before and after pics. I still have 60lbs to go, but I know I can do it! Way to go me:)

Praise God! I am SO thankful I was able to open my eyes up this morning to see another year. Thank you Jesus for blessing me and my family in 2008 and I am so excited to see what you have for us in 2009:)

There were alot of people who didn't open their eyes this morning and this is just another reminder that no one is promised tomorrow, that is why we count every day, every minute, every hour a blessing. I don't know about you, but I am really excited for 2009! God has blessed me and my family in 08 and I just know that there is so much more in store in 09. Our Pastor, Mike Hayes(www.covenantchurch.org), the most wonderful church ever! Well he has been teaching in the book of Romans, going through each chapter part by part and it has been awesome. I am learning new things I had no idea about! He has also been really expressing on the power of "our words" what we speak. With our mouths, we can speak life or death! Words are powerful. Stephen and I have really been working on speaking positive things in our life, marriage and our children. We want to always uplift and encourage each other and our girls. I NEVER want to discourage them or break down their spirit and if we aren't careful as parents, we can do that to our children and not even know it! I really have to be careful with Simone because she is our strong-willed child and doesn't listen very well at all, BUT she is very loving and compassionate and will give you a hug and kiss in a minute:) I have to start speaking the good things in all situations. Its hard, but it is do-able!!!

I don't know why I wrote this, but the Lord has really been speaking to me about "speaking" out my destiny! I know I have a purpose here and its all about sharing Jesus Christ with others and being an instrument in helping someone receive Salvation:) God is good:) I am so thankful He is in my life and my families. Thank you Jesus!

Well I finally did it! I flat ironed Simone's hair for the very first time. This is the first time she has ever had "heat" on her hair. She LOVES it and is running her fingers through it all the time:) She is just like Camille when it comes to this kind of stuff:) Enjoy!

Christmas lights & oh what an UGLY tree!

Well we got started EARLY this year with our Christmas and we put lights on our house for the first time ever! I like the white lights on the house, but yet again, I am disappointed in our tree:( I can't get it the way I like it and every year I end up just putting the little red bows on it and calling it a day. I couldn't agree on a color scheme with colored balls, so I got frustrated and ended up with the tree looking like this. Maybe next year I'll have the tree of my dreams:)

Never a dull moment!

Well we have had some really nice cold weather. Its definitely getting close to winter time:) Well today Stephen decided to buy some fire wood and have a wonderful fire tonight:) He gets things started and its looking really nice in our living room, real calm and Christmas tree shining next to it and then we start noticing the "smokey" smell is getting stronger and stronger. The vent is OPEN and we see LOTS of smoke coming out of the chimney outside, so what could all the smoke be from????

After we sit and watch our living room fill up with smoke, Stephen says "thats it!". He gets a metal pan and starts taking out piece by piece of fire wood. He takes it to the back porch and waters it down. He said one of the pieces was very sticky and looks like it has "sap" on it:( Grrr! I can't believe these people sold us wood that wasn't "dry"! Oh well, never a dull a moment at our house:)haha

Oh no!........STREP-THROAT!

Yes, my poor baby Camille has strep throat:( She woke up this morning stating her "throat hurt when she swallowed or coughed". I looked back there and her tonsils were swollen a little, but nothing too bad and she didn't have fever. So, she gargled with salt/warm water, I sprayed chloraseptic spray and she sucked on a few throat lozenges and went her merry way to school. I was expecting someone to call me from school to tell me to come get her but no one called!

So as Simone & I are waiting in line in the parking lot to pick up Camille after school, I get a call on my cell from the school secretary saying "Camille's teacher just called and said Camille is not feeling well". So after I went in and got her we headed straight to the doctor's office(which I LOVE, because they are very good at getting us worked in:). They swabbed her throat and it immediately came up positive:( She was running a low grade fever at 99.2, but now I am pretty for sure she is in the 100's now.

She is laying in her bed now and has already taken her first dose of Amoxicillin and I am sure she will feel better tomorrow. She will be out of school tomorrow, but the doctor said she could return on Friday:) Please keep Camille in your prayers.......she can't stand being sick and not able to jump rope:)haha

Tonight, we went to "trunk or treat" that was hosted by the local baptist church here in Wylie and it was great! They had their wonderful youth band playing contemporary worship music, food and LOTS of candy! The girls had a good time and I am so glad they did it today and not tomorrow night. The girls dressed up as "fairies" and I made their head pieces and I think they turned out pretty good:) Let me know what you think!

This evening we finally got to carve the pumpkin we bought on Sunday! The girls were so excited and couldn't wait to see the design we picked out to carve. This evening Stephen and I went to see the movie "Fireproof" with Kirk Cameron and I have to say this was an AWESOME movie!!!! This is a great movie for every married couple young and old. It just shows that marriage can be a wonderful thing and we all know that starts with having an individual foundation in Jesus Christ! I encourage each and everyone one of you married couples to go see this movie, it will bless your marriage:) God is good and I am so thankful for my dear husband Stephen. God is doing wonderful things in our marriage and it can only get better from here! Go see it!

Pumpkin Patch

It was such a beautiful day and about 85 degrees, so I thought I would take the girls to the pumpkin patch:) They LOVED it and all the different sizes of pumpkins there. We FINALLY decided on the one we liked and bought it. I started out taking alot of pictures, then Camille wanted to grab the camera and take some of her own. Today Oct. 15th is my birthday:) I am now 33yrs old. I woke up this morning feeling really good about today. I don't know why some people don't like getting older, but for me it has been wonderful. I am so thankful the Lord for blessing me to even see another year. Some people don't get that chance and I will forever be grateful. I am so blessed in more ways than one and its all because of Jesus Christ:)

My dear sweet husband took off of work today for me. He got up and took Camille to school, then came home and made me breakfast!.......pancakes, eggs and hashbrowns:) YUMMY!!! He is going to take care of Simone for me today, doing laundry and then he is making me a cake. I will have pictures of that later today:) I am so blessed to have such a great husband and girls! Today is picture day for Camille:) She is excited because she is missing her bottom 2 teeth and that will be in the pictures! We got up EARLY this morning to do her hair and I just wanted to take pictures of it before she left because it may not look the same in the pictures at school. I was so excited about how this cake turned out! This was my very first cake and I was a little nervous about the icing part. I have iced a cake "in" the pan( a simple sheet cake), but I have never layered or taken a cake out of its pan to ice the whole thing. So this was my end result and I cant wait to do another one soon:) This cake is for my husband who will be celebrating his 33rd Birthday tomorrow(Oct.6th)!!!

College Road Trip

This movie is with Raven Symone and Martin Lawrence! Very good movie for the whole family to watch. Its bitter/sweet though, especially for parents with daughters:( Ugh, I was a little down after watching it because it just makes me think that one day Camille will be leaving home for college one day and how fast the time is passing by! It also helped me to really cherish these times now while she is still young because it won't be long before she turns into a young lady!

Again, its a good movie, with lots of laughs, no foul language or anything! Really good and the girls enjoyed it too:) Just had to share my thoughts on it!

I know you probably can't tell, but she was very tramatized:( I didn't think she would react the way she did, but she is SO in love with it now:) I am so glad she likes it, but she STILL has alot of long hair!!!!!!!! Well for the "most" part, I am done! I am still thinking if I want to paint or not? If I do, then I am only doing and "accent" wall! It will be the wall that the desk is on. It was very fun to do and getting the girls involved with their own personal wall art decor:) Camille is such a good artist and she expresses herself very well in her drawings...........I will have to post some of her other stuff so you can see what I am talking about. Anyone who knows me, knows that I like to have things nice, in order and NOT CLUTTERED! Well with that said, I am on a mission to re-do the girls' playroom. Right now, its nice and organized BUT the girls just got a computer for that room and now we need to get a desk in there that they can both share and sit at the same time:) My mother sent me this wonderful website with great ideas for craft rooms/organization, so now I am pumped and ready to get at it. I will take before & after shots so you can see what we have done:) Its going to be a room that will grow with the girls and then when its time for Stephen & I to have our dining room back, it will not be alot of work turning it into a dining room! I am excited & just wanted to share!

A Day at the Park!!!

Yesterday, I took Simone to the park after we were done running our errands. The weather was nice, not too hot. She had a good time, but there was this one little boy that wouldn't stop following her and she didn't like that:)haha She kept making this face at him like.........BACK UP! Every Friday at Camille's school, they have "Dino Beat". Its like a pep-rally where they sing song, make a few announcements and recognize some teachers and students. Guess what?......Camille was one of those students today:) She was very excited and kept looking at us to make sure we were still there!
